Bihar Roadways Launches Special Bus Service from Patna to Prayagraj for Maha Kumbh

BSRTC introduces daily bus services for devotees traveling to Maha Kumbh, operational until February 28, 2025.
The Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) has launched two daily bus services between Patna and Prayagraj to facilitate travel for devotees attending the Maha Kumbh Mela. The service, which began on Friday, will operate until February 28, 2025.

Each bus has a seating capacity of 42 passengers and follows the Patna–Ara–Mohania–Varanasi–Prayagraj route. Buses depart from Bankipur and Gandhi Maidan bus stands in Patna, with the outbound journey starting at 8:30 PM and reaching Prayagraj by 4:00 AM. The return journey from Prayagraj departs at 10:00 PM and arrives in Patna by 5:00 AM. The ticket price has been set at ₹550 per passenger.

With heavy traffic restrictions in Prayagraj due to the large influx of devotees, this initiative aims to offer a seamless and affordable transportation option.

The special bus service provides a convenient and budget-friendly travel option for devotees. By addressing logistical challenges, BSRTC’s initiative ensures smooth transportation for those seeking to participate in the holy event without disruptions.
